Buses to and from Ronaldsway Airport
Arrival at Ronaldsway Airport
If you’re visiting the Isle of Man or returning home, bus travel from or to Ronaldsway is simple and convenient. With buses operating over peak periods with a frequency of 20 minutes in both directions.
Our bus stand is less than 45 meters (50 yards) from the main entrance of Ronaldsway Airport. Simply turn left out of the main entrance. All services depart from the same stand, so read the front of the bus to make sure you board the correct service.
Travel to Douglas for the North, East and West
All North bound services travel into Douglas Victoria street and then along Douglas Promenades to various area of Douglas and Onchan.
These services are: 1, 1H, 2, 2A, 11 and 11A.
If your going North to Laxey, Ramsey or West to Peel, then you need to alight at Douglas, Victoria Street stop and take the short walk across to Douglas, Lord Street Bus interchange. This is a distance of approximately 125 meters (136 yards.) From here you can connect with buses to all over the Island.
Travel to the Castletown and the South
Southbound buses travel into Castletown then to Port Erin and Port St. Mary.
From Castletown Services 1, 2 and 12 go via Ballabeg and Colby to Port Erin with some continuing to Port St Mary.
Services 1A, 2A and 12A go via Shore Road to Port St Mary then to Port Erin.

Payments
Cash and contactless payments are accepted on our buses, it is preferred to use contactless where possible. Single day GoSaver and GoExplore tickets can be purchased on board any of our buses, multi day GoExplore and GoSaver are available from the airport information desk; which is located on the left as you exit the baggage reclaim area, other locations these cards can be purchased and topped up are:
- Welcome Centre – located in the Sea Terminal, Douglas
- Ramsey Bus Station
- Port Erin Railway Station
- House of Manannan, Peel.
If you are arriving in the late afternoon or evening it is recommended to pay for your single journeys on the bus rather than using your GoExplore or GoSaver card to get the most out of them as they work on a midnight to midnight basis rather than from the first time they are used. Below are some of the fares you can expect to pay whilst using our buses.

Go Saver and Go Explore Cards
First you need to buy the relevant card, there is an initial purchase cost of £2 per card. Once you have your card, you can reuse it and top up your card as many times as you want.
Go Explore tickets cover all train, tram and bus services and 1 Day paper tickets are available to buy on board any bus, train or tram, or in our stations on the day of travel. There is no £2 charge for paper 1 day tickets.
Bus Saver tickets cover unlimited bus travel for consecutive days and 1 day paper tickets are available to but on board any bus. There is no £2 charge for paper 1 day tickets.
A family card is valid for two adults and up to three children between the ages of 5 and 15 inclusive. Up to two children under 5 can travel for free with a fare paying adult.
Go Saver and Go Explore cards are valid for travel on consecutive calendar days.
