Closure of Strang RoadÂ
From 0900 on Monday 6 January 2025 Strang Road is closed near to the Ballanawin junction for up to 4 weeks due to drainage works.
During this closure Service 5, 5c & 6a journeys operate via Braddan Bridge and Braddan Road between Union Mills and Nobles Hospital (& vice versa).
All buses to Nobles Hospital use South Drive to serve the temporary bus stops in lieu of Strang crossroads and Cronk Grianagh.
The Mondays to Sundays 2307 Service 6a and Fridays & Saturdays 0015 Service N5 departures from Douglas only serve the Hospital roundabout for setting down (the Braddan School stops can be used for boarding).
The Mondays to Sundays 2332 Service 5/5j and Fridays & Saturdays 0155 Service N5 Peel departures DO NOT serve Strang or Nobles Hospital.

Service 45
The morning and afternoon Service 45 journeys are unable to serve Ballanawin, Union Mills or Snugborough.
These journeys operate:
Morning - commencing at Braddan School at 0741 then usual route to Ballamilligan then via Strang (Roundhouse side shelter) at 0750 to Cronkbourne (0758 as normal).
Afternoon - normal route to Ballamilligan then directly via Strang and Braddan School to Douglas.
School pupils from Snugborough are able to travel in the morning on the diverted Service 5 (Union Mills at 0731) to travel to the Braddan Sch stop to then board the Service 45.
In the afternoon travel is available on the Service 22h (1516 at Bemahague) or the Service 29 (1538 Somerset Road, St Mary’s) to Lord Street for travel on the diverted 1607 Service 5 which sets down at the Ashlar Drive stop. Please ask the driver for a ‘transfer’ ticket when alighting the 1st bus.

Service 46
The morning Service 46 journey is unable to serve Ballanawin, Union Mills or Snugborough.
This journey operates:
Morning - commencing at Cronkbourne at 0839 (normal time) then via the Hospital perimeter road (therefore unable to serve the Cronk Grianagh stop) to Strang (Roundhouse side shelter) at 0845 to Braddan School.
School pupils from Snugborough are able to travel in the morning on the diverted Service 5 (Union Mills at 0811) to travel to the Braddan School stop.
Alternatively, the Service 5a (Union Mills at 0831) serves the layby on the Douglas side of Braddan Bridge.
In the afternoon the next available bus from Braddan School to Snugborough is the diverted Service 5 which departs Nobles Hospital at 1617 and sets down at the Ashlar Drive stop.
Afternoon travel to Strang is on the Service 45 or 47 journeys as normal (note that the Service 47 DOES NOT serve Cronk Grianagh).

Service 47
The morning and afternoon Service 47 journeys are unable to serve Ballanawin, Union Mills or Snugborough.
These journeys operate:
Morning - commencing at Braddan School at 0749 then via the Hospital perimeter road (therefore unable to serve the Cronk Grianagh stop) to Strang (Roundhouse side shelter) at 0754 then to Cronkbourne (0800 as normal).
Afternoon - normal route to Braddan School then via the Hospital perimeter road to Strang.
School pupils from Snugborough are able to travel in the morning on the diverted Service 5 (Union Mills at 0731) to travel to the Braddan School stop to then board the Service 47.
In the afternoon travel is available on the Service 29 (1543 at Ballakermeen) to Lord Street for travel on the diverted 1607 Service 5 which sets down at the Ashlar Drive stop. Please ask the driver for a ‘transfer’ ticket when alighting the 1st bus.

Groves Road closure - 0900 Thursday 7 November until mid-January 2025
A section of Groves Road in Douglas is to be closed for Drainage works.Â
Service 1, 1a, 2, 2a, 11, 11a, 12, 12a, 21 (2305 journey on return) and N1 journeys operate as follows.
Douglas to Port Erin journeys:Â Divert from Pulrose Road via Alder Road and Springfield Road to New Castletown Road.
Alternative stops are at the Douglas Golf Club and on Springfield Road at the Springfield Avenue junction.
Port Erin to Douglas journeys:Â Divert from Spring Valley via Quarterbridge and Peel Road.
Alternative stops are at Harcroft Meadows and on Peel Road.

Loch Promenade Stop F unavailable from 16 October
Due to the construction works at the Villiers Square site Stop F on Loch Promenade is not available for up to 2 years.
Alternative stops are either Stand G in Victoria Street (near to Lloyds Bank) or the Granville Street stop on Loch Promenade.
Promenade services depart Stand G 1 minute before the advertised time for Stand F.
