Timetable Changes

Timetable changes from 4 September 2024

The following changes to bus timetables come into operation on Wednesday 4 September

Updated timetables are now available on our timetables page 

Douglas to Port Erin and Port St Mary

• The 0830 Service 11a departure from Port Erin is re-timed to depart at 0825 and operate 5 (five) minutes earlier up to Castletown Square to depart at 0855 (as now).

Douglas to Ramsey via Laxey

• The 0730 Mondays to Fridays Service 3 departure from Ramsey DOES NOT serve Hailwood Avenue and Willaston.
  This service now operates the normal route from the Manx Arms via Glencrutchery Road – setting down at the Grandstand for UCM.
• Afternoon journeys from Ramsey to Douglas on schooldays are adjusted to cater for the change of finish time at Ramsey Grammar School.
• The 1623 schooldays Service 3 journey from Glencrutchery Road to Douglas no longer operates.

Douglas to Ramsey via Peel

• There are changes to the afternoon schooldays Ramsey to Peel journeys which serve Ramsey Grammar School.
• The current Fridays and Saturdays 2245 Service 6f departure from Peel now departs at 2250 and operates 5 (five) minutes later throughout

Douglas to Foxdale, Peel and Castletown

• The current schooldays 1500 Service 4 journeys from Douglas to Peel departs at 1440 and operates 20 (twenty) minutes earlier throughout.
• The current 1518 schooldays Service 4b journey from Peel to Douglas departs at 1520 as a Service 4 and operates from Quarterbridge via Peel Road to Douglas (NOT via Westmoreland Road).

Service 14 journeys:

• Term time: 
  Tuesdays and Thursdays and from Douglas to Castletown now depart at 1140 and 1440 and operate 15 (fifteen) minutes earlier throughout.
• The afternoon journey from Castletown to Douglas now departs from the Square at 1535 and operates 20 (Twenty) minutes earlier throughout.

School Holidays: 

• Tuesdays and Thursdays and from Douglas to Castletown now depart at 1140 and 1440 and operate 15 (fifteen) minutes earlier throughout. 
• The Tuesdays and Thursdays journey from Castletown to Douglas now depart the Square at 1228 & 1528 and operate 14 (fourteen) minutes earlier throughout.

Douglas and Onchan estates

• The current 0815 schooldays Service 25b from Lord Street departs at 0805 and operates 10 (Ten) minutes earlier throughout.
• The 0745 Mondays to Fridays Service 22h departs Lord Street at 0750 and operates 5 (five) minutes later until return to Lord Street, then departing at 0842 to Nobles Hospital as currently advertised.
• The Mondays to Fridays Service 3 from Hailwood Avenue (0813) via Willaston is replaced by the schooldays only Service 44 which departs Hailwood Avenue (layby) at 0813, Willaston School stop at 0819 and then via Ballakermeen to Douglas.
• The 1431 Service 22 departure from Nobles Hospital (1455 from Lord Street) operates via St Ninians High School Lower School en-route to Birch Hill with subsequent stop re-timing.

Ramsey to the North of the Island

• There are no changes to morning buses.

Due to the revised finish time at Ramsey Grammar School

• The current schooldays Service 19c 1544 departure from Ramsey now operates at 1518
• The current schooldays Service 20 1540 departure from Ramsey now operates at 1525.

Douglas to Port Soderick

• The current schooldays 0810 morning Service 29 journey now departs at 0805 and operates 5 minutes earlier throughout.

Changes to School bus services

Buses to and from St Ninians High School

• The morning Service 29 operates 5 minutes earlier throughout and there are minor changes to some other journeys.
• The afternoon journeys are re-timed due to the earlier finishing time.

Buses to and from Ballakermeen High School

• The morning Service 29 operates 5 minutes earlier throughout.
• Service 37 no longer serves Summerhill Road in Onchan or Royal Avenue in the afternoon.

Buses to and from Queen Elizabeth II High School

• There are no changes to Queen Elizabeth II High School.

Buses to and from Castle Rushen High School

• The morning the Service 11a from Port St Mary operates 5 (five) minutes earlier,
• there are minor timing changes to the Service 14 and to which buses serve the school turning circle.
• Most of the afternoon buses have changed due to the earlier finishing time.

Buses to and from Ramsey Grammar School

• There are no change to morning buses.
• Most of the afternoon buses have changed due to the earlier finishing time.

Buses to and from Primary Schools

• Due to changes to finish times at some of the Secondary schools, there are some changes to primary school bus provision.
